BACK, with VENGENCE

Hi there d00des and d00detts. I know I have been leaving you in the cold, but to be honest I've been watching the NBA playoffs...

So here is the deal. People who are mad at LeBron James, you might as well wear hipster glasses, because its like a bad joke now. The guy is the best in the world, and sure he makes mistakes in life, sport, or whatever, but the truth is that he learns from those mistakes. The guy is the league's MVP, and he is in the Eastern Conference Finals sure he is down a game in the series, but tonight he plays probably the biggest game of his life.

ALL SHOULD WATCH TONIGHT. I mean I watched LeBron in one of the biggest games of his life, that was an ECF game against the Pistons in the '07 season, and LeBron had all the pressure on him and he went b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Even though a bigger game in his life was the ACTUAL NBA finals, I would never really blame his play for losses, reasons being is that he is always trying for the people he cares for. Honestly we should be mad at Dwyane Wade, because over his career he has dropped his Free Throw percentage in the playoffs, and he just doesn't have that same pull up three that he use to have, in contrast LeBron has just raised his whole game this entire post season.

On top of all THAT, most Basketball fans are against LeBron it seems, and he realy doesn't deserve it. I find it odd that his life is under this HUGE microscope and we watch every word he says and over exaggerate his meanings. For instance his whole "Not 1, Not 2, Not 3" speech, he was obviously brought from his excitement to not only be in MIAMI FLORIDA, but also to do the thing he loves (basketball) for a living with his best friends (Dwyane and Chris), that and I watched the video again, and he seemed led throughout that whole "Decision" deal because after learning a little from college, reporters tend to ask or lead an interview in the direction of their story (a good reporter anyways). It just seems like everyone took what he was displaying and manipulated it into anyway they wanted to critisize and destroy his whole persona of being a good guy, so he could fit what the NBA needed a "villain" (So basically I guess LeBron is Batman).

The reporter was all "LEBRON DO THE THING I TOLD YOU TO SAY" if you were caught up in the moment you'd have done the same thing too, sorry for LeBron only being human. That and his post Finals loss interviews where he was mad that he lost.....ya you get the point LeBron has humanity.

He's really a great human being, and he almost always tries to make an impression for the people. I think tonight we're going to see something people have been waiting to see from Bron-Bron. He's going to grow, and whether he wins or loses tonight I think we should take our foots off the gas a little, and move on, and appreciate the talent and honor to the game LeBron brings night in and night out.

The Ryan Tannehill affect

Okie doke folks, draft day is coming up...and there is this thing that is troubling me. This thing is Ryan Tannehill, first of all people are raising his stock because he is impressing scouts with combine stunts and drills. This is the whole thing, pros and TV personalities all say the same thing about Tebow being a "bad QB", which they may be right, but his athleticism is impressive none the less. I'm guessing NFL scouts must think he'll produce these epic moments of Tebow-ism considering the fact that Ryan's first position is athlete, not Quarterback.

What people don't get is once you hit the NFL, quarterback takes about forty steps up from college. Now some quarterbacks are anomalies and have the skills (Mike Vick, Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger) to produce at a higher level, but the ones who have the knowledge and only use college ball to improve this skilled position are the ones that find success in the NFL.

The other thing is people forget, that football is a team sport. The good teams are balanced in all aspects. For instance the New York Giants, they have great line play, a Manning at QB, good Wide Receiver, good Tight Ends, and a Balanced Running attack. Offensively they are amazingly balanced, then you look at the Defensive side of the ball and you highlight their strengths at Defensive line. Their one true weakness is the coverage in the backfield, but even then they still won the Super Bowl, and they have developing talent back there with Prince Amukamura. The thing is most of the good teams are balanced, and it seems to be coincidental that their QBs are good, or to put in better terms the QB position is balanced on that team.

So with this Tannehill kid people are acting like he's going to bring balance with the Dolphins, but the thing is they have Matt Moore, who was better than Jimmy Clausen (who was suppose to be good out of college). I mean are they going to develop him under Matt Moore and let him sit, or is he going to be a wide receiver? The whole thing is fishy and it seems like the Dolphins are wrecking what was set up for them by Bill Parcells, the philosophy of "Hawk the ball on Defense, and Run or confuse the other team on Offense".

I don't know what is going to happen for this guy's career, but all I can say is he is not from the SEC, his athletescism is his key attribute, and you didn't see Texas A&M dominating the BCS during the Tannehill era. If he somehow becomes starter in the middle of the season and proves me wrong by taking the Dolphins to a 10-6 record then I guess I'll be looking like a retard, but I'm more interested in Andrew Luck or RG3, or even Trent Richardson (because the Browns need a new RB and he has qualities I like).

Better luck next time Dolphins, but it was hard for your franchise to Lose for Luck. I guess there is always Matt Barkley in a year or so.

d00de of the Month: Derpdate

So we had one vote...for Sidney Crosby, but the Penguins lost their Playoff series. Uhhhh what should I do here? How about we sit through April and wait till May for a d00de nominations, you know let Baseball get going, NBA playoffs, ect. In the meantime I think I will get going on some NBA Playoff previews, or NFL draft coverage. Just be ready for some information to come from the mind of the Sports d00de!

Kevin's Short reign, new Nominations d0tm!

I know there wasn't a lot of action for Kevin, but he slowed down a bit it seemed in March. So here are your April/May? Nominations for d00de of the Month.

Ichiro Suzuki
That's right the ideal of consistency in the MLB. Ichiro year in and year out puts in a solid job in left field, a batting average in the 300's, and great base running. This MLB season has already started too, and he is leading the league in hits already, just this Wednesday he had 4/5 hits and a game winning RBI in the 11th in his home nation of Japan. Even though he had an 0-4 at the plate today, his numbers will stay as they do, and who knows maybe he'd give us some web gems for d00de of the month highlights.
Pretty special, and a pretty good d00de to boot.

Anthony Davis
A Uni-brow, a number one seed, and a number one overall draft pick, these are things that Anthony Davis posses. Hey why not add d00de of the Month to that! Anyways this guy is a monster talent for the Kentucky Wildcats, he rebounds, blocks, scores, and runs Kentucky essentially. Without him on the court in this March Madness, the Wildcats have been pretty mundane. Not to mention people are already giving this guy player of the year nods, and saying NBA teams should probably already go and draft this guy, He might win the whole NCAA tourney so he deserves the nod.

Sidney Crosby
Hey Sid, hows the head? Oh just nabbin points, making goals happen, and being great. That's right it took a while, but Sidney Crosby has got the Penguins back to top shape, they now can Rival my Red Wings. But what is crazy is Sid is no longer the Kid, he's the captain, and he was also on the verge of having to quit hockey because of concussion issues. But, he has come back with vengeance and now wants to win another Cup of Stanley, he just might, and he might just win d00de of the Month too.

Brad Keselowski

Immense concentration, strong forearms, and the motivation to win in extreme conditions.....and people say NASCAR isn't a sport. Brad is one of the best young talents in the circuit. He has a twitter, and a story of driving with a broken leg (happened last year but still holds merit with me). He's already won at Bristol this season in the Sprint Cup, and he's up there in the standings, but I am predicting a good run for this guy, and what better way then giving him a d00de of the Month nod, for some extra horsepower.

d00de of the Month update : Kevin keeps his groove...back?

Basically the deconstruction of the Blazers last night. Kevin had two sick jams (one off an oop, and the other just a steal and a jam). 25 points on the night from the d00de and his magic keeps on rolling. If he gets into a rhythm he will destroy you.

Be sure to check out the Thunder's upcoming game against the Heat in Miami on Wednesday April fourth. It is not only going to be the game of the year, but a true test of both clubs.

Possible MVP settlement. d00de or LeBron.

Kevin vs Kevin d00de prevails

It was a battle out there, and Kevin Love dropped 51 points. But then there's Kevin.....DURANT.

Sent it to double OT and then it became a battle of attrition. Thunder won 149-140. Yup Kevin had 40 points and 17 rebounds. He's now prepping to get into playoff form, last time I looked there are some days left in March, the d00de might be turning it up for us!

Yo, Colts....make the right choice.

Ok so the team I've grown to adore has traded away our past (ie the Colts traded Peyton Manning)

They sucked last year without Peyton, highlights include the following:a 34-7 loss to the team the Colts have owned (the Texans) in the season opener, A close Monday night game where the Colts gave up the lead to the Tampa Bay Bucs, Then a Sunday night game in prime time where the New Orleans Saints took the innocents of the Colts, the rest is all downhill (even the two games we won).

ALL AND ALL, we ended up with the top pick of the upcoming NFL draft. We all know who the Colts are going to pick, even their former General Manager said something along the lines of "Have fun being a Colt Andrew", and yet the there are these reports of people saying they aren't ruling out RG3...Wait What.

Ok Ok Ok let us leave this to the d00de.

RG3 vs Luck

First off let's take a look at the resumes of these guys, technically both these guys are franchise type players.

Robert Griffin III
-Born in Japan (his parents are both US army Sergeants)
-Three Sport star in high school (basketball, football, and track)
-Broke high school state (Copperas Cove, Texas) records in track for the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.
-Was recruited to play collegiate level football for the following: Stanford (oddly enough), Tennessee, Kansas, Nebraska, Houston, Tulsa, Illinois, Washington State, and Oregon.
-Started 11-12 of games fro Baylor his freshman year.
-Tore and ACL his sophomore, and was red-shirted his junior year.
-He then led Baylor in his Senior year to 10-3 season and a bowl game
-He also won the Heisman

Andrew Luck
-Born in DC, but spent time in his childhood overseas in London, England and Frankfurt, Germany.
-Son of Oliver Luck a former NFL QB
-Dominated High school level football
-Was recruited by Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Rice, Virginia, and of course Stanford.
-Was given the opportunity to just start his freshmen year, instead said he wanted to earn it, went through the red-shirt program, earned the starting quarterback job.
-Led Stanford to a 12-1 record and dominated the quarterback position.
-Could have declared eligibility for the 2011 draft, said he wanted to finish his degree first from Stanford.
-Went back in the 2011 season for went 11-2 and got a BCS bowl bid.
-Runner up for Heisman.

Now Griffin is a little more interesting I guess, but when you contrast the styles I'd say Colts just need to look at the names. I mean there is a guy who does most of the stuff Peyton use to do, has a last name Luck, and you have a horseshoe for a symbol on the side of the helmet. THAT and not everyone is Cam Newton, taking Griffin and crumpling up what you have and tossing it aside, just to accommodate to a more free form style (the kind of offense Griffin would need) just seems a little to abstract.

Colts Griffin is a sexy pick, but sometimes excitement fizzles out, and durability and trustworthiness is what were after. Let the Skins take Griffin, let us get some Luck.

The Manning Mantle, the Tebowmania

Okay so when I was a kid I watched the NFL at a young age. In the 90's there were two QB's worth noting, Bret Favre and John Elway. Of the two my favorite was John Elway.

SO, my now NFL hero Peyton Manning is now a Denver Bronco, and I get to relive my childhood it appears, but also I think people are just going to go bananas over the Tebow situation.

First things first, I'm happy for both my beloved Colts and Manning, I find it a win-win situation because Colts get the (hopefully) younger version of Peyton and the Broncos get Peyton himself. Now all I hope for is an AFC title match to duke out the rights of "was Peyton the Colts heart or is Luck going to be a legitimate QB". Either way I'm a happy camper.

So onto the next thing, TEBOW. People hate on him because he isn't an "ideal" QB. This may be a true statement but sometimes it doesn't matter if your crappy macaroni art has some glitter dust drizzled on top of it. That's what I feel Tebow is, in college people were saying the same thing, "he isn't ideal" "he lacks accuracy" BLAH BLAH BLAH. The dude goes into the huddle shouts the play trys to execute and makes it an athletic match up between linebackers and himself, its great TV, is it long term no but it is unorthodox and in some cases effective.

(i.e.)

I mean sure in this video you don't see him improvising but throughout that game Tebow rolled all around the line of scrimmage and tuckered out one the best defenses the NFL has to offer.

So, Peyton is a Bronco, and they make it seem like Tebow is going to move from Denver. If this is true then I am all for Jacksonville whether they say no or not. I thought they should have drafted him when they had the chance, I think in Jacksonville not only will his local heroism shine, but also when you pair him with MJD you are taking less pressure off of MJD and your ground game becomes top tier. The pairing of Tebow and Florida goes like Pretzels and Chocolate, not exactly the first thing you think of but when you pair them, ITS A GOOD THING.
But, who is to say he isn't going to become the student to Manning. I mean they may just keep him and cut that other guy (you know Brady Quinn). I mean Tebow is still young even though its his third year, but maybe he can learn from the NFL's new iron man, Peyton. I mean Peyton is old technically, yet it seems as if he is still elite correct? Why not have a veteran shed all the pre-snap reads knowledge, or the complex playbook Peyton knows, why not have Tebow evolve his game?

In the long run I guess only Elway and Jon Fox know. Will we see Manning get his first disciple Timothy? Or are we gonna see Tim take Mania to the city he calls home? Either way, I'd be happy.

d00de of the Month : March

You see, Kevin forgot he was d00de of the Month too. He hit his head really really hard last night, and I guess it knocked him back to d00de status?

Anyways Kevin Durant is the d00de of the Month for March. His team the Thunder are probably the best in the West, and Kevin is the MAN for the Thunder.

Kevin does the following for the Thunder:
1.)Scores
-In the Post
-On the Three Point Line
-In the lane
-In transition
2.)Defends
-Blocks
-Covers some bigs and wing players
3.)Leads
-By example
-Through his play
-Off the court/On the court

The only thing he's really bad at is passing, and he is trying to improve on that too.

That play when Kevin steals the ball and passes it to Harden is what he's be working on.

Its amazing because everything Kevin does for his team benefits and makes the team better, and its kind of odd because all people saw from him was that he's a good scorer (Greg Oden was the number one overall pick from his draft and Kevin was second). So I guess you could say Kevin just stuck to being Kevin, and by that I mean Kevin was open to being coached, unlike some people.

So We'll see in between March Madness how his Thunder do while he reigns as d0tM.

College Football, Playoff System??? Not Exactly

So, lots of college football fans want a playoff system right? They think it will give an even chance for every team and won't leave out the undefeated or one loss teams who don't get a chance at the BCS...well they are wrong because as it has come up and why the BCS doesn't do tourney style is because it'd end up being like the now NCAA Basketball tourney in March.

You See you would get a bunch of teams that are divide in their conferences, and don't meet each other in the regular season, sure you get some "Cinderella" stories, but ultimately you get the higher seeds progressing and then a final four composed of 1-4 seeds. It'd still be "unfair" to those lesser conference powers.

BUT, on that note I don't like the reward system that is the College Bowl season either. How do you solve this problem? Glad you asked, my theory is off the wall and probably a crazy blogger idea, but I would enjoy it if they had my system.

Sports d00de BCS System
1.)Teams are ranked in their division for champion spot using the BCS ranking in the beginning of the season.
2.)The top teams are overall rated number one and claimed the champ of their division (much like boxing the best holds the title).
3.)The title is up for grabs in each of the conference's champions game and makes the regular season relevant.
4.)If a lower ranked team wins the new title at the last game of the season then they get a shot at the playoffs as the conference champion. (This means if they won it wasn't a fluke, and if they can maintain the title then they are a legit program).
5.)The playoffs are the top seeds (or champs) of the conferences, their strength of schedule and season record then go into account and are reseeded within the playoff system.
6.)They compete in a playoff and, WAM BAM, you got your new champ. Who holds the overall title, which is again relinquished at the beginning of the regular season, but places the team for the top of their conference.

Rinse repeat.

What I believe is this would give college ball a new meaning to being the top of your conference, you can be 1-13 (record) and still get a shot at being the champ in an upset. You might make the tourney as an under dog. And you get a fair balance of preparation, and smart college football programs.

The problems are, that it has a socialistic views, and the top guys would not like that. Nick Saban's losses to LSU would make him mad, and the SEC would probably ignite a civil war. BUT, why not have some of the good teams of the SEC move to the ACC or the Big East. Some rearranging must occur in order to get an even league, but I think a system like this is closer to what REAL FOOTBALL fans would want.

Just a theory, but hey I think it'd be cool.

Braun should be Gone

Ok Ok Ok, so I'm biased because I am a Cubs fan, but honestly think about this story. The story being that the NL 2011 season reigning MVP, Ryan Braun, was tested (as most players are)at the end of the season and showed heightened testosterone levels caused by performance enhancing drugs. He was given a 50-day suspension for when the upcoming 2012 season was going to kick off, he fought the suspension and now won it. How is that just?

Now we have seen this story since the whole Jose Canseco deal, and the Barry Bonds, and the Rodger Clemens, and the Mark McGwire, and the A-Rod, and the Manny, and so on and so fourth. Anyways The whole deal is obviously steroids are the dark part of Baseball and the league if they want to keep an image and a joy of "clean" baseball, then just make it a taboo.

That's right I think Ryan Braun should just get booted, I mean even if it was a situation of "He took something that changed his biology." or "He had a cold." or "He got tampered with". It was negligent, if you are a high profile player like Braun is, develop a better surrounding, don't rely on others ,or just start to use your own judgement. If you can't do that then you should be punished. It works in society the same way, in my view if you don't make a sacrifice and face problems the "right" way you will end up punished (i.e. you're addicted to drugs, you drop out of school, you can make money selling drugs, but eventually your going to get caught, or die, not that you want to but its inevitable.)

Braun took the easy way out hypothetically, whether he took it to cure his personal problems (which aren't that pretty of a subject either), or he took it to be able to do more in his workouts (which is not building muscle in a sense since you'd be pushing your limits), or he took it to do better (which in the long run is the wrong way of playing in the MLB). If Braun isn't kicked out and made example of even if he isn't "guilty", then all that is going to happen is more and more baseball players are going to set *records* and get caught eventually with their pants down.

Do the right thing MLB, whether that is kick Braun out or continue to just have frauds run the League. It's your league Bud, it's a league made up of clubs, last time I checked clubs can all have their own independent rules but have to follow their leaders rules. For instance the ancient Greek polis, they were independent Greek islands, that had their own customs and traditions, but all had a Greek way of life. Bud Selig owns the MLB and enforces that his poleis have to follow those "MLB rules" one of which is "DON'T DO ROIDS", I mean if that isthe rule then submit and follow. If you're going to have someone not follow, then chastise them and BAN THEM, just like the substance.

d00de of the Month Nominees

Yo.

Jeremy Lin
This is Jeremy Lin. He's a good basketball player (originally played for the Warriors....but was cut, and a little for the Rockets...and met the same fate.) BUT he is now a Knick, and in Mike D'antoni's system a point guard is the star. This guy is a super underdog, and a very high IQ NBA Player (He went to Harvard). A pretty good nominee for doM (d00de of the Month abbreviation?).

He's working on becoming a great NBA player, but the ultimate test of Lin's skills will be the integration of his high profile players like Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. Plus he's got cool word play with his name "Lin-sanity".

Kevin Durant
Huh? He still hasn't been d00de? Well Kevin is having another Kevin-esqe year. All he does is score, and dominate you offensively.....and block your shots, and rebound, and play a complete game. He has another player that overshadows their teammates in Russel Westbrook, but everyone in Oklahoma knows who the man is, On top of that He's got a cool nickname, the Durantula.

He could pull away with the MVP and he may even be the star for the West to lead the Thunder into the NBA finals. Future, turned into now and Greg Oden became Kevin Durant....poor Portland. Anyways Kevin is always a good option.

Steve Stamkos
Well NHL guys are fun, Stamkos is on a team people don't even know exists, and he leads the NHL in Goals scored....WAIT A MINUTE?! Yes this guy scores goals and they can be flashy, but mostly he scores and he scores in bunches.
He has amazing skill to push forward and shoot the puck, some people lack, and he is a fearsome competitor....and he plays hockey so he gets a nod.

Tiger Woods
Weather you like him or not, he's probably the best of his era in golf. I know what you're thinking.....come on d00de golf........Well when Tiger is on he's fun to watch. and just to help his case this was Tiger this weekend, that sure he didn't win, but he keeps showing signs of his swagger coming back.
I remember I watched golf one day just because of Tiger playing on a level others couldn't, and thinking "Wow, no one else can make that shot." A misunderstood talent is always interesting to me.

That's not an easy shot.....so if you want something a bit different for doM, give Tiger a vote.

So vote in February and this will be your d00de of the Month March.

The Mozgov Dunk

I just had to put this up, we all remember Blake Griffin as d00de of the month last year, but he is just about the half man half highlight the NBA has been wanting for.

Here is last year

Here is last night

Same Blake, new poster.

The Pey-a-ton problem

So today as things press on in Indianapolis, a lot of people in the NFL media are covering the story of Peyton Manning in the Colts organization.

Here is my two cents.

First off if you are not a Colts fan you have to understand, Peyton is the franchise. Packers fans are the closest to Colts fans as of right now. Basically they were married to a quarterback, so are the Colts. When you marry a quarterback it always comes back to bite you, and people forget "Professional" Sports are different then backyard, you do have to make decisions in Professional sports.

The thing is, all things change. You need to evolve to grow in the NFL, look at the Panthers, they are a couple of defenders away from Playoffs, say that two years ago and people would laugh at you, but Cam Newton changed the culture within one year. Peyton is a proven winner in this league, take him out of the Colts equation, they are a one-legged hoarse in the Kentucky Derby.

The way things are set up everything would work out for the Colts, I mean right now you have teams that need a QB (and who wouldn't want Peyton Manning?), Andrew Luck is coming out a college, and the Colts have the number one pick. Could the Colts have coexisting quarterbacks within their team, probably, but the way the NFL has set up rules for the quarterback to be the star of the league, and you are getting basically a starting playoff quarterback, who is healthier than Peyton, and use to winning like Peyton who are you going to take?

Let's also look at the business aspect, Peyton at the beginning of the year signed a huge 69 million dollar contract, and then he wasn't healthy, they paid him 16 mill in the beginning of the 2011-2012 season, as retribution to his Colts career, lets not forget the Pollians were still in the office too, it was also a risk for a 50/50 shot of him coming back (and if you give Peyton a half a season he might get you to the playoffs). Peyton wasn't ready to come back at all this season and the Colts won....Count them two games. Jim Irsay, the Colts owner, didn't really like the fact that he married a QB, and he wants the new guy coming out of College. So, what do you do, keep the quarterback who has won you a championship, and have risk/reward for another three years while not winning a championship, or take a piece that has some of the aspects you like about Peyton, but some other pieces that you could build around, you be the judge.

The thing is people will want Peyton Manning on their team. He isn't done in the NFL and he might be able to win, with a team other than the Colts, a Super Bowl. I personally like Peyton, he is one of the reasons I am a Colts fan, and I thank him for giving other players that the world doesn't really know about (Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Robert Mathis, Dwight Freeney, or former Colts Tyjuan Hagler and Bob Sanders) a super bowl ring. As a Colts fan you shouldn't look down on Jim Irsay, or Peyton, or anyone, look to the future and the possibilities that that team has.
Just look back at the good times and say "Hey Peyton Manning, a class act, and the best of his time, in Indy".

eer, Maybe I should look up Tebwo....

Well The two d00de nominees Drew Brees and Tim Tebow are now kind of out of contention for d00de of the Month. Maybe I should look up Tim Tebwo, considering my typo.

So Come February I am going to think of something new for the site, on top of that I will also add some other nominees and just start fresh for d00de of the month.

In the mean time here is my upcoming schedule.

1.)AFC/NFC Champion predictions
2.)new d00de nominees
3.)Super Bowl Preview
4.)NBA Player profiles/ranking? (One of the two)
5.)d00de of the Month February

So Stay tuned and chill.

d00de of the Month Nominees

Hey Calvin, it was a nice run and you brought your Lions to the Championship, but now it's time to pass the mantle.

Here are the Nominees

Andrew Shaw (NHL-Blackhawks)

NHL Rookie Andrew Shaw made his debut for the Blackhawks last night, but he isn't like the new era of Hockey. He has the flash and what us hockey fans like guts!

On his Debut he got his first goal, AND got into a good 'ol fashion fist fight. I'm a Wings fan, but this guy could be a good d00de.

Ty Lawson

Psssh, Chauncey who. NBA likes scoring and this d00de has speed and scoring. Ty Lawson has started the NBA season on fire shooting the ball at about .530 Field Goal percentage, and having 117 points on the season, BUT he's averaged it on about 32.1 minuets of play per game.

Fun to watch, Fun to cheer for and lets face it might as well root for the Nuggets, may be the best of the west this year.

Tim Tebow

Well, this wouldn't be a sports blog without him nowadays. I am a Tebow supporter to. I believe if he finds a win this weekend, then he might automatically get d00de of the Month.

This guys resume is huge! I mean he's lead the Broncos to the playoffs (even though his defense is pretty good and probably got them there), his leadership breaks boundaries, and he is a MEGA-Christian and good role model.

Drew Brees

He faces the Lions this weekend, but he is ready to tame them. Brees is a scary good QB and he may take the Super Bowl title this year.

On top of being my NFC pick (if they beat the Lions), he also broke Dan Marino's passing yard record on Monday night football.....I mean come on.

So vote, and we'll have a new d00de. This month may be short, due to over MEGATRON-ing it.
